Pownal Street Press is honored to be bringing Pirate Pearl back into print with updated cover.
First published in 1998, this beloved picture book is a classic. Today, Phoebe’s legacy lives on through the Phoebe Gilman Gallery in Charlottetown, PEI — and we are thrilled to help share Pearl’s swashbuckling spirit with a new generation.
Yo ho! A pirate prizes,
Watching how the treasure rises.
Meet Precious Pearl, a bold, big-hearted pirate girl who sails the seven seas—stealing treasure only to give it away just as fast. For Pearl, riches are meant to be shared, not stashed.
But when she crosses paths with Prince Basil, Pearl’s life takes a turn quicker than you can say “shiver me timbers!” What follows is a high-seas adventure filled with mischief, courage, and unexpected friendship that will make readers, old and new, fall in love with Pirate Pearl.
