Water and Wildlife
ISBN: 9781997918059
$24.95 CAD | Hardback
Release Date: November 10, 2026
Artist Ashley Anne Clark, a conservationist at heart, really wanted to explore the life-giving nature of our oceans, rivers and streams. What she created eventually became Water and Wildlife, a visually striking story that reveals the beauty of aquatic environments and offers a look into the ways water connects us and all living creatures on earth. From the smallest snail to the biggest whale, we all need water to live.
From their own kitchen sinks to the deepest oceans, clearest streams and tiniest raindrops, Water and Wildlife takes the reader on a journey as they explore this essential natural resource. Splash with a wood duck in a clear lake, sing songs with humpback whales, and sniff the air looking for rain with elephants! Featuring stunning illustrations and illuminating facts, this book considers the importance of keeping water healthy, not just for humans but for every creature on the planet we share it with.
With the same flowing, poetic text that readers fell in love with in Nocturnal Animals, Ashley Anne Clark has returned to inspire deep curiosity, wonder and appreciation for our natural world. This soothing story is the perfect read to inspire your little ones to explore the wonders of water.
Wonderful for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and curious minds alike, this beautifully crafted book will ignite your imagination and deepen your appreciation for our most precious resource – water!
“In her magical way, Ashley Anne Clark once again brings the curiosity of a child to her paintings and visual work, inviting her readers into a contemplative world that asks important questions. The answers send readers onto their own journeys with water and its importance to all.”
