Birth of a Hippie is written and illustrated by JoDee Samuelson. JoDee is a filmmaker and artist who has lived on Prince Edward Island for the past 30 years. Her animated films have been shown at festivals around the world, winning numerous awards. JoDee is the author of The Cove: Life on the Island’s South Shore (Nimbus) and Birth of a Hippie is her second book.
