Accepting Submissions for Traditional Program

Pownal St. Press

/ 1 min read

Dear friends, writers, followers and discoverers,

We are welcoming traditional submissions for Fall 2024.

Although our traditional list is small, it is one that we are proud to present. This year we brought you books that received national recognition including Love Notes to Grievers and A is for Anne.

For our traditional list, we look for stories that celebrate culture and relationships, and that connect people to the land and to their communities. We are accepting poetry, essays, and art or photography collections that speak from our local experience, but which contain universal themes.

We value books with spiritual or self-growth elements. We love to do deep dives into narrative-driven memoir, first person accounts, works with a philosophical question, or any manuscripts that support the human experience.

Currently, we are actively looking for nonfiction, essays or memoir for our Fall 2024 list. To submit, please send us a query letter introducing your piece at hello@pownalstreetpress.com and attach a sample of the work. Use the subject line, “Traditional.”

Submissions for Pownal Street Press traditional program should be considered complete. We will be accepting manuscripts all through the month of December so please submit no later than December 31st, 2023.

Best of luck and we look forward to reading your work.
