We are over halfway through 2024, and Pownal Street Press has been busy bringing both colourful children’s books and empowering memoir and nonfiction titles to life! 

Let’s take a look at the 2024 titles we’ve published so far…

Reg Goes Swimming: A Self-Regulation Story for Kids written by Lori Gard & illustrated by Emma Martin (Tales for Big Feelings series)
Reg is a bear whose name rhymes with EGG! He likes to climb trees, eat snacks, and sleep. Most of all, Reg loves to swim in the creek. One day as he heads out, he notices that a few obstacles stand in his way. How will Reg react to the challenges of the day ahead?

Are You Listening? is a journey of sound, sight and story. Using poems and stories, this memoir explores intergenerational displacement, and speaks the truths of a woman who loses her innocence at a young age due to cultural inequity, and is forced to navigate a terrain foreign to her ancestors.
